After thorough consideration, we have decided to discontinue our association with EyeMed® Insurance effective January 1, 2024. Unfortunately, EyeMed® policies have presented significant challenges to us in delivering optimal eyecare services, lens materials and eyewear options for our patients.
As of January 1, 2024, we will be designated as an “out-of-network” provider. While this change may initially seem inconvenient, it will, in fact, enable us to better serve our EyeMed® patients.
Most EyeMed® patients can seamlessly transition to receiving eyecare with our doctors through their medical insurance. We are committed to providing competitive pricing on eyewear and lenses, along with a wider range of options. This shift to out-of-network status empowers us to personally select the best lens products and frames for you and collaborate with top-notch optical labs, ensuring you receive the highest quality eyeglasses and sunglasses.
In recognition of your steadfast commitment to our practice, we are pleased to introduce the OPTX Vision Plan®-a supplemental, comprehensive eyecare and eyewear plan that offers substantial savings on vision products. The OPTX Vision Plan® is complimentary and exclusively for EyeMed® patients. Detailed information about the OPTX Vision Plan® is available by clicking here. Combining the OPTX Vision Plan® with your EyeMed® out-of-network benefits will provide you with enhanced savings. EyeMed® has simplified the process for patients to submit most out-of-network claims, including eye exams, eyewear, and contact lenses. Please verify your plan-specific EyeMed® out-of-network benefits as they all vary. Our staff will gladly assist you with submitting your claim.
