Sales Policy
Exchanges and Cancellations:
Prescription eyewear, non-prescription sunglasses, purchases of frame-only, and accessories
are all non-refundable and non-returnable products. Before any order can be
processed, OPTX requires payment in full. Because of the nature of prescription eyewear,
once an order has been processed, it is considered to be a final sale.
Remake Policy:
If the prescription needs to be adjusted in the eyeglasses, a one-time, no charge,
remake is available within 30 days from the original order date for single-vision
(distance / reading only) or traditional lined-bifocal lenses; progressive lenses have an
extended remake policy of 90 days from the original order.
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your progressive lenses, OPTX will remake
them one time, no charge into a single-vision lens or traditional lined-bifocal within
90 days of the original order date with no refund.
Contact Lens Policy:
Contact lenses that are un-marked and un-opened can be exchanged within 30 days
of the initial order for self-pay patients. If insurance benefits are used to place an
order for contact lenses, they cannot be exchanged or refunded for any reason.
Opened boxes void this exchange-only policy as they cannot be returned.
Warranty Policy:
OPTX Rhode Island provides a warranty for defective frames one year from the date
of order. Polycarbonate lenses and lenses with a non-glare coating are eligible for a
one-time replacement within a year from purchase from normal wear-and-tear
scratches. If it is determined that lens scratches or frame breakages have occurred
from misuse, these warranties are null-and-void.
There is no warranty on non-prescription sunglasses.
Notification Policy:
OPTX Rhode Island has extended hours for the convenience of picking up eyeglasses
for our clients. Due to the nature of custom eyewear, these orders cannot be resold if an order is not picked up or
abandoned. Therefore eyewear not picked up within one year of notification will be
assigned as property of OPTX Rhode Island and all payments will be
nonrefundable.
Contact lens purchases are held for 45 days from date of notification of arrival; upon
reaching that time, orders that have not been picked up will be returned and the order
will be voided, nonrefundable, and subject to a $25 reprocessing fee in order to
reorder the product.
