Dr. Diamante has nurtured his ever growing ophthalmology practice for over fifteen years. His insistence upon the highest quality practice is reflected in every detail. With over 30,000 microsurgical procedures performed, Dr. Diamante offers his patients unsurpassed experience, advanced eye care and unmatched surgical results. As Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School, Dr. Diamante is a leader, teaching the latest surgical techniques and advances in ophthalmology to medical students and residents. He lectures to other recognized physicians at national ophthalmology conferences, and serves as a mentor to many young ophthalmologists across the country. Dr. Diamante quickly establishes trust and a wonderful rapport with his patients, attune to their needs. He is an attentive listener and spends ample time to address every concern. Medically astute and genuinely personable, Dr. Diamante is directly involved with every patient. This level of personalized care has led his practice to quickly become one of the largest in New England. Outside of his many professional achievements, Dr. Diamante enjoys a good personal balance in his life and takes great pleasure in spending time with his family and traveling. Teresa N. Head, OD | OptometristDr. Head is a well-respected and much sought-after optometrist. She is recognized for her clinical excellence and outstanding patient care—from a child needing glasses for the first time to decisions regarding cataract surgery options. Dr. Head is well-versed in state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies. She has extensive experience in dry eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, computer vision syndrome and eye emergencies.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, Dr. Head went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She then completed several internships, one of which was at the Providence Veterans Medical Center. Dr. Head believes that better doctor-patient communication leads to improved eye care. Honest and compassionate, she feels privileged to share in her patients’ lives, even if only in a very small way. She relates well and empathizes with patients, which helps her communicate more effectively with them. Dr. Head focuses her practice on educating patients to better understand their condition and treatment options. Dr. Head is a contact lens and low vision expert. She performs detailed low vision evaluations to provide effective solutions to help those with compromised vision. She has extensive experience in routine and specialty contact lens fittings, including keratoconus, astigmatism, multifocals, post-graft and aphakia. In her free time, Dr. Head enjoys running, music, movies and travel.
